Parent Talk

First of all sorry for posting this late, but i had a few problems.

I had my talkt o my parents, telling them my type of personality and spiritual gifts. They were really impressed that a test could do that, and they told me that i had the Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. I told them it was a minority difference between the extroverted and introverted, and they told me " You are an easy person to be friends with, you're not selfish when with another person and at the same time you could be one of the most quiet people in the room.
In my spirituallity i said i had an all-around, having Ekballism,Teaching, Leadership,Exhortations and Discerning of spirits as my highest, and Speaking and interpreting tongues as my weakest.
My parents see my personality and my spiritual gifts tie together in "an amazing way". They told me. "We consider that for your age you are a teen that limits himself in joining or going to places you feel will dishonor God, along with being carefull in having the wrong friendships. Yo like to serve God and to kids in the ministry, making people feel well and obeying us."
My parents told me something very interesting as how they see Christ growing in me. They told me : " I dont see how God wouldnt work in you if us and other people see you acting like Him" (meaning God is growing well in me).

This has surprised me, mostly coming from my parents, and also because i hadnt realized that i did these things. It is really comforting that God is working in me to serve His ministry and The Kingdom of Heaven.

Spiritual Warfare: Supporting the concept of spiritual warfare

This site is basic, but the problem they face here is that a believer Can be demonized in a spiritual walfare. It shocked me, im serious. But later reading more it was a problem to see that we all face the same problems as being "demonized" where when we fall in temptations we are acting like one.
http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/Psychology/warfare/demonp.htm

" Can a believer be demonized; i.e., possessed by a demon?
There is a movement within professing Evangelicalism today that says, "Yes." This movement is teaching that a high percentage of sin among Christians is caused by demons. Followers assent that a person can be a believer in Jesus Christ, experience fullness of salvation, and still be in bondage to Satan and demons.
The popularity of this movement can be seen in the seminars being held across the country and the best-selling books being published that promote this teaching. Nonetheless, this teaching of the "demonization of the believer" is contrary to Scripture and is in line with the world's view of everyone being a victim.
It is a denial of the sufficiency of the work of Christ and Scripture.
This teaching of the demonization of the believer has not come without a forerunner. Christian psychology has brought the world's idea of victimization to the Church. Psychology has taught us that everyone is a victim. When a person has problems in his life, he is often told it is the result of his past or how his parents treated him. The end result is that he does not take responsibility for his own actions. We see this today. People are suing cigarette makers because they have smoked for fifty years and are dying of lung cancer. Criminals claim that their dysfunctional families are the reason for their criminal acts. Everyone is blaming someone or something else for their problems.
Now there is a different twist. Now our deviant behavior is being blamed on Satan and demons. This is the flip-side of psychology. In both cases, there is something other than ourselves to blame for our sin. Both make the believer a victim who needs the steps and formulas of the "experts" in order to find true joy and victory.
Christian psychology's emphasis on experience and stories also parallels this teaching on the demonization of the believer. In Christian psychology, the source of authority is experience rather than Scripture. Now with the demonization of the believer movement, one finds the same "theology by story" emphasis. And in the process, the Biblical way of dealing with people's sin problem has been abandoned. "

Spiritual warfare.

http://spiritoferror.wordpress.com/category/spiritual-warfare/

This is the website i found that questions some considered "valid spiritual methods" for spiritual warfare. What strucked me most is thatsome of these methods involved going and confronting the demons by name. Only then the town will be willing to accept the Gospel. It was also weird that this same website tells us spiritual warfare is real.
These following quotes fromt he author makes me think more on HOW we can prepare and confront Satan. I was just beginning to try and find an answer when i looked at Carla's post, Peter instructs us that we need to RESIST, not try and give him a Black eye or two, but to RESIST.

"Spiritual Warfare is Biblical
Don’t be mistaken: I believe spiritual warfare is biblical, and all Christians must engage in it with seriousness.
According to Ephesians 6:10-18, we are in battle against “spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
We must never forget this because Satan is like a “roaring lion” that is seeking to catch us off guard and devour us. See 1 Peter 5:8. We must be aware of his schemes against us. See 2 Corinthians 2:11.
The Bible also teaches that there are angels (both good and bad) with varying degrees of authority. For example, Michael is called an “archangel” who has command over other angels (Rev. 12:7) and is one of the “chief princes” and a prince of Israel (Dan. 10:13, 21). Other Scripture passages hint at the existence of a hierarchy within the angelic world. See Romans 8:38-39, Ephesians 6:12 and Colossians 1:16.
In 1 Corinthians 2:6, 8, there is reference to the “rulers of this age” who caused Christ’s crucifixion (perhaps high-ranking demonic forces).

"I also found this website, which talks about how it may be a wrong concept. it says:
Today we see people using the term of binding and loosing as an exercise of their spiritual authority as believers over Satan, and demonic powers and beings in the spiritual realm. Many people are convinced because of the results.
People are claiming that we have the authority and power to bind the devil and his demons. Some say that we can also bind sickness like cancer, and loose people from the devil's hold, which can include poverty.
After two years of prayer and fasting proclaiming the games would not be held the Christians in Canada were unable to stop the Gay Olympics held in Vancouver. (Prophecy today magazine). David Wilkerson wrote in his newsletter April 1991, “The entire church structure of America could not stop the showing of (The blasphemous film) “The last Temptation of Christ”… in twenty five years, have we stopped abortion? No, it’s worse than ever…there are Christians right now who claim they are taking the world for Jesus. But I don’t know of one country they have taken.” "

Spiritual Gifts and Personality Test-by fernando

Spirit and Personality

At first in my first post of my personality test, i didnt know wat the judging part of the results were, but as i kept doing the spiritual test, i realized it was for discerning.Sensing also goes with the discerning part. In thinking,it relates with teachings and planning things that could be useful for the team. The extraverted part is going and sharing with a person (exhortation) and bringing them comfort for their burdens. It is not always easy to demonstrate and do what God has given you, but He'll give u the courage to do so according to His plan.

Finding Your Place In Ministry- by Fernando

Spiritual Gifts

I think that this is complicated. I have an all around with my spiritual gifts, but i still dont know what my strongest are. In the quiz, it says descerning of spirits and teachings are my strongest, but the others are close behind, like Ekballism, Exhortations and others. My weakest ones are speaking in tongues and translating tongues, which doesnt surprise me, for i havent heard anyone speak in tongues. I think that when God gives us gifts, we need to use them to their full extend, and be ready to use them. It's amazing on how many things this group has that could benefit the missions trip.
